The first MR4SO prototype
MR4SafeOperations: AR for safe plant processes
Take a virtual sample with the first prototype.
This is what AR-guided work for industrial plants looks like. With hands free and clear instructions via smart glasses, manual processes and communication between personnel and the control room can be made safer and easier, even in dangerous situations.
At the Hannover Messe 2025, visitors were able to test the first prototype from our MR4B project, MR4SafeOperations, live and take a virtual sample of a distillate.
MR4SafeOperations is a research project within the WIR! alliance MR4B – Mixed Reality for Business. Together with TU Berlin and Rösberg Engineering, we are developing innovative digital processes to support operation and maintenance (O&M) work in industrial plants – directly on site and in real time. With the help of data glasses and hands-free information, manual tasks such as sampling, reading measurement data, or communicating with the control room are significantly simplified.
For anyone who missed it, here is a great visualization by Meta Quest 3.
