MR4B Hackathon at X-Visual

The MR4SO prototype has been successfully tested.

On February 24, we welcomed the project partners of the MR4B project MR4SafeOperations to X-Visual Technologies GmbH for an intensive hackathon week at our premises. Together with the Control Engineering department at the Technical University of Berlin, led by Prof. Steffi Knorn, and Rösberg Engineering, we worked on the prototype implementation of an augmented reality (AR)-supported sampling system for industrial hazardous areas.

A replica distillation column used as a test facility at the TU Berlin served as the basis for the demonstrator. With our expertise in mixed reality, we developed innovative solutions to make safety-critical processes more efficient and intuitive.

After a successful week, the demonstrator was tested intensively: The MR4SO team tested the virtual sampling live, reaching another important milestone for the project.

We are proud to be a partner in this groundbreaking project and to be actively shaping the industrial use of mixed reality. The next step? Further development of the demonstrator and exciting insights into the future of industrial AR applications!

If you would like to experience the demonstrator live, you will have the opportunity to do so at the Hannover Messe 2025 (HM25). From March 31 to April 4, we will be presenting it at the Berlin-Brandenburg joint booth in Hall 13, Booth D66. Visitors will be able to test for themselves how mixed reality is revolutionizing industry – we look forward to exchanging ideas!
